June 19th 2008. There's a new interview with me, as well as a giant photo up at Dark Wolf Fantasy Reviews.
June 12th 2008. Today for my birthday I got a wonderful review from Bookfetish.org. Hurray!
June 10th 2008. Today is the official publication date of The Inferior in the US and Canada. Amazon.com has it listed as 'in stock', but I have no idea when it will be in the shops. Please let me know if you see it!
May 17th 2008. A new children's comic called The DFC was launched in London on Thursday. I have written a story for it about a sneaky, but dangerous elephant. The art work was all done by the brilliant Laura Howell, who draws for the Beano. You can see a small sample of it on my blog.
May 2nd 2008. A fantastic new cover for the paperback release of The Inferior can be viewed here.
April 1st 2008. Yet another great review for librarians, but Irish ones this time, rather than their American cousins. The books magazine, Inis, said: "Ó Guilín is a skilled writer and storyteller and the narrative is enthralling. [...] The Inferior is thought-provoking, well-written and enjoyable. It will appeal to fans of science fiction, horror and fantasy, although readers of a sensitive disposition should beware."
March 2nd 2008. A lovely new review of "The Inferior" directed towards librarians, is up at The Monster Librarian.
March 2nd 2008. I have a busy schedule next week. On Tuesday evening, I'll be meeting with NUI Maynooth's wonderful Omega Society, where we'll be chatting about the best ways to get published in SF. On Wednesday and Thursday, as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, I'll give writing workshops in Irish to future authors who are now in fifth and sixth class. I can't wait!
February 14th 2008. A new, cheeky interview with me is now available over at Nethspace. An evil question deserves an evil answer.
February 2nd 2008. The February issue of the Waterstones SF, Fantasy and Horror newsletter just came out and contains a whole paragraph about my book. Here's a snippet: "Fans of Scott Lynch and
Joe Abercrombie may want to check out The Inferior by Peadar O'Guilin [snip] [O]ur booksellers are loving it too: 'Totally original and quirky, this is tipped
to be a cult hit. Marketed as a children's title, there is nothing childish about the brutal world O'Guilin has created.' Zoe Walton,
Waterstone's St Andrews"
If you're wondering why I've snipped it, it's because there seems to be a (very flattering) inaccuracy in the text that I don't
want to spread until I've checked it out further.
January 22th 2008. I have just learned that I am to be a guest at P-Con. The event will take place over the weekend of 29-30 March and will include readings and great panel discussions. If any of you live in or near Dublin I'd love to see you there!
January 10th 2008. Two sample chapters of "The Inferior" are now online here! Let me know if you enjoy it :-)
November 6th 2007. On Tuesday November 6th, I will be appearing as guest of honour at the November meeting of the New Irish Science Fiction Association. The talk will start at 8pm sharp upstairs in the White horse pub on Burgh Quay. Full details are here!
October 11th 2007. I will be signing books in a few shops in London on 25th October. Waterstones in Harrods at around 3:30pm and Blackwells of Charing Cross Rd, some time in the morning.
September 4th 2007.The bookswede has published an interview with me on his blog.
August 25th 2007.Announcing the official launch of The Inferior. It will start at about 7pm on Thursday 13th September in Borders bookstore, Blanchardstown, Co. Dublin.

May 1st 2007. And then there were eight -- languages, that is! We have just got a three book deal for the Japanese translation rights!
February 20th 2007. view an image of the cover of my book here.
March 9th 2006. It looks like my novel will also be appearing in Russian! I don't have the details yet and haven't seen the contract, but still...
February 2006. Black Gate editor, John O'Neill, has just bought my story, The Evil-Eater. It will be my third appearance in the magazine. Does that make me a regular?
February 2006 I've just got word that my dark fantasy tale, The Drain has been picked up by the wonderful Weird Tales. I don't know when it will be published.
There have also been more deals for the translation rights of The Bone World Trilogy, which will now also be appearing in French and Korean.
November 2005 Super-agent, Patrick Walsh, has sold my young adult series, The Bone World Trilogy to David Fickling books, an imprint of Random House.
The editor, is an amazing man -- he's worked on such wonderful projects as Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, and the multi-prize winning, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. I'm really lucky to be on his list.
He'll be releasing my first book in the UK, US and Australia as a lead title some time in 2007.
Separate deals (so far!) include translation rights for Germany, Italy and Denmark with offers from other countries already on the table.
I'll add in more news as I get it!
I am beyond ecstatic.
